The Westin Golf Resort and Spa in Playa Conchal, Guanacaste, was recognized by renown British magazine Luxury Travel Guide, as the “Luxury Golf Resort of Costa Rica 2017”.

Luxury Travel Guide recognizes every year the best tourism destinations around the world, in order to give out the awards they take into consideration several aspects such as guest reviews and recommendations, evaluations by experts of Luxury Travel Guide, online reputation, among others.

This is not the first recognition received by The Westin Gold Resort and Spa, which has been featured in Top 5 Course in Costa Rica Golf Digest (2011), Top 25 Foreign Gold Resorts by Conde Nast Magazine in April 2012; Mexico & Central America’s Leading All Inclusive Resort 2014 and Leading Family Resort 2014 by World Travel Awards and it also received the Latin America and the Caribbean Hotel of the Year 2017 by Marriot International Excellence Awards.

The 18-hole Golf Course of the Westin Resort was designed by Robert Trent Jones II; and not only does it have the level of complexity required for professionals of this sport, but it also has the advantage of being surrounded by amazing natural sceneries.

In the past month of May Westin Golf Resort hosted the PGA Latin America Tour with the presence of 144 golfers from 26 countries.

The Westin Hotel has also taken their commitment with the conservation of the environment seriously and through different sustainability practices they are now certified as carbon positive.

This hotel also is known for its social responsibility programs and community outreach programs.
