Verba Shadow the Ukrainian group that presented their show on America’s Got Talent, will be in Costa Rica March 21 and 22 presenting at the Melico Salazar Theater in San José.
Verba Shadow is the first in Ukraine to create a shadow show, “Shadow is the universal language of communication. Visualizing various subjects – taken from life or existing in books and films – the actors manage to transfer the viewer to a new reality for him, to give the opportunity to be surprised, rejoice, empathize, reflect on the important or return to carefree childhood”, explains their Facebook page.
The group is formed by acrobats and contortionists who play with light, shadow and the human body form to create intricate stories and landscapes.
“The show consists in a series of short stories and their best sketches of famous movies, television series or cartoons: Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Titanic, Agent 007, Frozen, among others, are part of the stories that the audience will enjoy told through the movement of the bodies and amazing shadow figures that take form right in front of their eyes”, describes the press release shared by production company Interamericana de Producciones
Verba Shadow will have two presentations at the Melico Salazar, the first one March 21 at 8 p.m. and the second one March 22 at 5 p.m. Tickets run from 25 thousand colones (approximately $43.67 USD) to 49 thousand colones (approximately $85.60 USD) and can be purchased online at eticket.cr platform.
