U.S. Citizen Suspected of Domestic Violence Attacks Costa Rican Police

Costa Rican Public Police Officers handled an alert received by the 911 service regarding an apparent case of domestic violence that took place in Quesada Duran, Zapote, San Jose the afternoon of this Sunday, when they arrived the suspect attacked them.

According to preliminary information the man, a U.S. citizen of last name Caspari, was out of control, attacked the police officers causing an open wound to one of them, took the spare tire from one of the patrol cars (rim included) and threw it on the patrol car’s windshield, damaged the sirens and windows.
The man is an ex-marine.

Police officers were forced to take out their guns and fired to the floor to get him to settle down, one of the bullets, however, ended up injuring the suspect on one of his legs. The suspect had to be transferred to a hospital and he is now facing several charges.
