Crackle is being offered to Tigo customers in Costa Rica and Guatemala, reported Argentina’s Telesemana.com.

Sony Pictures Television Networks Latin America announced an agreement to incorporate its OTT service into the operator’s pay television network in all markets where Tigo has a presence two weeks ago.

Crackle is now in eight Latin American markets through alliances with Internet service operators.

In addition to Honduras, Guatemala and Costa Rica, OTT is already available in Mexico, with TotalPlay; in Ecuador, through Cable TV; in Argentina through Gigared; in Uruguay with TCC, and also in Panama, through Cable Onda.

Crackle is an online distributor of original web shows, Hollywood movies, and TV shows. The company was founded in the early 2000s as Grouper, and rebranded in 2007. Crackle is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, and the service is free – with commercials – on all supported platforms.

The entertainment service includes movies, original series, and television series, such as Criminal Minds and Scorpions. All content is available in high definition, and can be viewed from mobile platforms or through the official website of the company.
