Want to see what’s happening in the world of chocolate in Costa Rica?

From July 14-16 the country’s main chocolate trade fair takes place in downtown San José at the former customs building, also known as the Antigua Aduana.

Entrance is 2,000 colones for adults, and children are free. If you want to be guaranteed a spot at the popular event, tickets can even be purchased in advance starting this week at a variety of locations.

At the 3-day weekend event, distributors and producers of cocoa and chocolate will exhibit their latest products, provide samples, and explain their products to all chocolate lovers in attendance.

The event is part of a national effort to promote chocolate production in Costa Rica, as well as knowledge about it, and the development of business around it.

Tickets are available at Sibu chocolates, Britt café and chocolates, Espeleta, Zocolotique chocolate factory in Sabana North, and Nahua.
