If you are looking for things to do in Costa Rica this weekend, the UK Culture Fest: The Best of British will take place this Saturday, April 1 in Avenida Escazú shopping center from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a gastronomic and cultural offer that includes chocolate, banana and “dulce de leche” beer.

This event is organized by Avenida Escazu in conjunction with the British Embassy in Costa Rica, and it has the goal of celebrating British traditions with activities for kids, children workshops, tea ceremony, live music and different forms of family entertainment.

As part of the gastronomic offer, the UK Culture fest will have samples of the innovative craft beers in the UK market that are now available in Costa Rica, different British dishes and desserts. Twinings tea brand will have sampling of 16 different tea flavors.

“In the tea ceremony we will show the most traditional aspects of the British high tea, where there’s harmony between the tea and the selection of sweet and salty snacks. We will go over the history of the tradition of tea in the UK, and recommendations on how to prepare the perfect cup of English Tea”, commented Federico Baltodano, Project Manager at Avenida Escazú.

Irish dances, the presentation of a bagpiper, and national folk and Celtic music band Peregrino Gris which combines the bagpipe, flute and whistle and creates fusion music with the electric bass, guitar and doublebass to create a unique sound, will complete the offer.
