According to the advice from an experienced travel agent, the best time to buy airline tickets are Tuesday and Wednesday nights; that being said when it is high season in Costa Rica it is hard to find cheap airline tickets, but today might be your lucky day, if you are suffering with the harsh winter or you simply need to get away, this is the perfect time for you to escape to sunny paradise and enjoy a few days surrounded by nature and beautiful beaches that will allow you to relax and recharge with great energy.

According to several traveling sites you can find great deals right now to fly round-trip to Costa Rica from different areas of the United States, we verified prices with Google flights and this is what we found, (no crazy layovers or 10 stops), only non-stop or one-stop flights with normal layovers and to fly end of February or early March 2017, check it out:

If you plan out your trip with enough time you’ll be able to get great deals and save a lot of money, according to our travel agent it is best if you do your search very late at night or very early in the morning (around 4 a.m.), set up a Google flight alert to receive information on flight deals that work for you.

In case you are wondering, the drive from San Jose to Liberia, Guanacaste is of about 3-4 hours, but to get to the beaches you’ll need to add another hour or more depending on the area you are visiting.

Costa Rica’s high season extends through the end of April, try to avoid planning your trip during Holy Week (April 9-April 15) as prices will be higher, but if you don’t have a problem with some rain, take advantage of the great discounts hotels offer for the low season May-June and September-November.
