Sao Paulo, Apr 26 (EFE).– Photos posted on Facebook by the dishy wife of Brazil’s new tourism minister, taken in his office, have sparked controversy on the nation’s social networks.

Milena Santos, named Miss Bumbum 2013 in Miami, released on her Facebook profile photos posing in an office of the Tourism Ministry, now headed by her husband, Alessandro Golombiwski Teixera.

“I share with my friends my first day as first lady of Brazil’s Ministry of Tourism. I love you, my love, together we are stronger,” Santos wrote.

She added that “it’s not by chance that beside a great man there is always a beautiful and powerful woman.”

Santos, a former councilwoman of the city of Salvador, appears in the photos with a deeply plunging neckline, kissing her husband inside his office, though after the uproard caused on social networks she removed the pictures.

Later Santos posted a picture of the couple in a restaurant and expressed her indignation that cybernauts had also dug up and posted some photos of her from the days when she was a model.

In a statement, the minister “repudiated the invasion of the couple’s intimacy” and “regretted” that “they used those old photos to denigrate the image of the two of us.”

Golombiwski Teixeira was named minister last Friday to replace Henrique Eduardo Alves, who resigned last month amid the nation’s deepening crisis in which the head of state herself, Dilma Rousseff, is threatened with losing her presidency. EFE
