Sting Live at Costa Rica’s National Stadium: May 9

British singer Sting will give his fourth performance in Costa Rica on May 9 at the National Stadium in La Sabana Metropolitan Park in San José, said SD Concerts, the company organizing the concert as part of his 57th & 9th Tour.

Sting just released his 57th & 9th album, a mix of rock and pop songs.

General seating for the Sting show will be on sale starting January 28 on publitickets.com.

“Members of Sting.com’s official fan club will have the opportunity to purchase their pre-sale tickets starting January 17 at 10:00 a.m.,” said a statement from SD Concerts.

Early reservations will be available for Credomatic American Express cardholders from January 23 – 25. And all other Credomatic cardholders can make early reservations from Jan. 26-27.

Sting’s hits are known worldwide and include Fields of Gold, Every Breath You Take, and We’ll Be Together, among others.

Sting’s first visit to Costa Rica was on September 14, 1988, reported the Costa Rican Spanish language daily La Nación, when he sang with Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, Bruce Springsteen and Youssou N’Dour in a concert celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

His most recent performance in Costa Rica was in 2006 in La Guácima, at the first Imperial Festival, said La Nación.
