Savoir the Moment as Brett Kavanaugh Will be the Next Supreme Court Justice

Savoir the moment! Reasoning has finally won over undocumented accusations resulting in the right man at the right time to be seated on the U.S. Supreme Court — federal Judge Brett Kavanaugh. For the past three weeks Washington, DC has boiled over with unnecessary controversy that undoubtedly will affect the outcome of the Nov. 6 national mid-term election – less than 30 days away.

Inside and outside the U.S. Capitol Building, the Senate Office Building and the U.S. Supreme Court Building mob rule as on full display for Friday’s cloture vote in the U.S. Senate that sent Kavanaugh’s nomination to the floor of the Senate late Saturday. The Senate approved Kavanaugh with a 50 to 48 vote sending the 53-year-old federal judge to the nation’s highest court for decades to come. In the name of public safety it’s clear that protesters should be banned from entering government buildings on Capitol Hill during such times. Hundreds of protesters were arrested and hauled off. What we are seeing on the national news is harassment and stalking in the work place.

On Friday afternoon, Maine Sen. Susan Collins (R)stepped up to the microphone and gave a speech that many said was the best speech ever given on the floor of the Senate as she explained her reasoning for voting for Kavanaugh. Her compassionate words caused West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin (D) to throw his support to Kavanaugh as well as Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake (R). Manchin was the only Democrat to vote for Kavanaugh while Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski was the only Republican to deny Kavanaugh.

The real lesson to be learned is that women in any situation should not be sexually assaulted or harassed at work, at home, at a party or on the street or anywhere else. When they are they should report it right then and there not 36-years later as in the case of Christine Ford and two other women who came forward with murky memories they could not prove against squeaky-clean Kavanaugh — who admits to partying hard in high school and college, but not assaulting women. In his Senate confirmation hearings he vigorously denied sexually assaulting Ford or anyone else.

You just have to shake your head when some of the liberal senators complained that Kavanaugh did not have the right “temperament” to be a court justice and he displayed “anger” during his confirmation hearings. There were times during those hearings that Kavanaugh should have given some of his questioners the ‘one-finger-salute,’ flip the table over and walk out in disgust. But he wisely did not and that alone shows he has the right stuff to defend future liberal assaults upon the U.S. Constitution.

This controversy will not be going away anytime soon because bone-headed far-left Democrats have added Kavanaugh to their impeachment list right along with President Donald Trump who scored a major victory with his second nominee approved for the high court. Every time these liberal Democrats starting talking impeachment they are only hurting themselves and losing their opportunity to retake control of either the U.S. House or the U.S. Senate or both.

Just a few weeks ago women everywhere scored a major victory when longtime sexual-predator-pervert Bill Cosby – the comedian known as ‘America’s dad’ – at 81-years-old was sentenced to hard prison time for his conviction on charges of drugging and sexually assaulting women. More than likely Cosby will die behind bars.

The ‘MeToo’ movement is doing a lot of good. For instance, Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein has been indicted and he too will stand trial for his treatment of women on the casting couch. Other victories were scored recently by ‘MeToo’ as three major mainstream news anchors – Matt Lauer, Bill O’Reilly and Charlie Rose — were forced to resign or were fired over their alleged treatment of women in the workplace.

At present, there is a huge disconnect between voters and the U.S. Congress whose approval rating remains in the basement. We all just watched day-after-day a nasty hateful display of partisan politics that quite frankly was worse than the smell of rotten eggs on a hot-steamy day. That stench will be remembered on Nov. 6.

It’s too bad there are conservative red states and liberal blue states because there is only one United States of America and this Constitutional Republic must be preserved as it is for the children of tomorrow.
