The Metallica concert in Costa Rica is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th at the National Stadium, the ticket sales were open exclusively for American Express /Credomatic cardholders from September 12th to the 15th, as of September 19 the tickets became available for the general public, yet, less than a day later the production company Move Concerts have confirmed 3 out of the 6 locations have been sold out.
The cost of the tickets goes from around U.S. $47.00 to $120.00 depending on location.
This is Metallica’s second presentation in Costa Rica, the first one was on March of 2010 at the Ricardo Saprissa Stadium and it was completely sold out. The November 5 concert is part of the band’s Latin American tour that includes presentations in Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Colombia and Guatemala.
The winners of 8 Grammy Awards and members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will release on November 18th their eleventh studio album titled “Hardwired… to Self-Destruct” under their own label Blackened Recordings, the first single from this album “Hardwired” is already available for fans that are pre-purchasing the album. The Metallica Latin America tour is part of the promotion in the lead-up to the new album release.
“One of the most commercially successful heavy metal bands”, Metallica was formed in Los Angeles, California on October 28, 1981 and 35 years later it continues to sell out stadiums around the world.
November 5, Costa Rican and Central American fans have a perfect opportunity to enjoy a live performance by their favorite heavy metal band.
