Encuentra24.com is changing the way consumers in Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua find essential goods and services.
The company’s founders say their work to establish the digital platform is, “A story about vision, growth, perseverance and love for dreams, which we achieved with a clear business focus and a commitment to the countries where we operate.”
Back in 2005, when Encuentra24 founders Wendy Jordan (Panamanian) and Boris Métraux (Swiss), discovered that simply finding an apartment to rent in Panama was a near-Herculean task, with virtually no existing property listings available.
They decided to create a web site for classified ads that would be available to everyone; basically creating Central America version of Craigslist without the personal ads.
Encuentra24.com’s online platform is dedicated to exchange of goods and services in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama, and has grown steadily over the past more than a decade of existence. Recently, their growth was noticed internationally which led to an investment by Frontier Digital Ventures (global experts in online classified ads businesses headquartered in Kuala Lampur) boosting the company to the Australian Stock Exchange, said the company in a statement.
In January alone the site received more than 7,500,000 visits to its web page and mobile applications, generating 600,000 downloads, and accounting for more than 1,400,000 sales contacts, making the company the indisputable leader of online classified ads in Central America.
The site offers services to sellers and buyers alike for free. Listings include property, employment, and sale of goods and services. Transactions are conducted via a secure platform that allows for dynamic business opportunities for a broad segment of the population.
Today Encuentra24.com is a thriving company with more than 100 employees based at its main offices in Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua, where “continuous improvement efforts, corporate strengthening, operational quality, and technical innovation are the cornerstones of their growing online success,” said Encuentra24.
In Panama there were more than 98,000 contacts for automobile purchases during the month of January, and 177,000 real estate purchase contacts, as well as 237,000 contacts in the employment section.
So, if you are looking for a rental, a property, a part-time job, a vehicle, or some new furniture – dust off your basic Spanish, and check it out! You might find a great deal.
