Costa Rican milk and dairy products cooperative Dos Pinos, will officially inaugurate its first ice-cream shop “La Estación” located in Escazú Village shopping center on March 10.

The location at Escazú Village was strategically picked because it offers a combination of commercial space, residential space and offices, allowing them great exposure.

With an investment of over $150,000.00 Dos Pinos will now offer their wide selection of famous ice-creams in their own shop and of course the menu includes new options like the “Krunchy Taco”, a waffle with Krunchy ice-cream; the Sushi Helado, and the Mega Trits. Toppings will also be available, a lot of them will be very familiar to Costa Ricans as Dos Pinos recently acquired candy company Gallito and this is a perfect way to take advantage of the line of products offered by the company.

Prices of the 20 different products offered range from ₡1,100 ($2.00 USD) and up to ₡2,800 ($5.00 USD).

Dos Pinos is also including technology in their new shop through the use of an app where clients will be able to buy their products and just pick them up at the point of sale; inside the store customers can place their order in the digital system and pay in the cashier.

The cooperative plans to open a second location in Curridabat in the next few months.

Dos Pinos has over 1300 associates and 2600 employees in Costa Rica, it processes 85% of the milk industrialized in the country which translates into 220 million kilograms every year for the creation of almost 600 products. It has offices in Nicaragua, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Dominican Republic.
