Other experiences include a sea turtle rescue tour, a chocolate farm tour, kayaking through mangroves, and cross-country biking. Boating, swimming, snorkeling, seasonal humpback whale watching, and surfing at the spot called Pavones – known as one of the longest lefts in the world – are all possible in the adjacent Golfo Dulce, one of the world’s only tropical fjords. It’s possible to spot more than 33 different types of indigenous birds within a one-mile radius, and on the grounds of the resort, the Jungle Night Walk tour is another fascinating way to see red-eyed tree frogs, granular poison dart frogs and other amphibians, exotic insects, night birds, caimans, snakes and other reptiles.

Rates start at $145/night plud tax (room only, for up to two people), or $169/night plus tax (per person, including a room plus meals, non-alcoholic beverages, and wine with dinner). Prices are based on availability and are valid for travel through 12/15/18.
