Costa Rica’s “Perrocross” is basically a cross country race with dogs, this is the eight edition of this event in the country and it’s scheduled to take place Sunday, October 2 at Hacienda El Rodeo in Ciudad Colón starting at 7 a.m.

The objective of this event is to provide a space for dog owners to spend time with their dogs while at the same time enjoying some physical activity and fresh air.

The race includes the following categories:

Experts 8 km (5 miles)
Amateur 4 km (2.5 miles)
Walk 2 km (1.25 miles)
Kids 2 km (1.25 miles)
Grey’s 2 km (1.25 miles)
Relays 8 km (5 miles)

Inscriptions have a cost of 14 thousand colones (USD $27) and 22 thousand colones ( USD $42) for the relay competition, plus a donation in favor of Territorio de Zaguates (in the form of cash or dog food ).

Only dogs over 9 months of age can participate in the event, which is open to the public.
