During this past weekend, officers of the Ministry of Public Security managed to stop three vehicles loaded with cocaine packets in Coto Brus, Puntarentas, Costa Rica.

The first vehicle was intercepted on Saturday, an SUV carrying over 60 packets of cocaine.

The second case involved other two cars intercepted Sunday evening at around 8:30 p.m. by the Drug Control Police of the Ministry of Public Security with the assistance of the Fuerza Publica (Public Police Force), the officers were conducting a routine road check-up operation in the sector of Agua Buena, the two vehicles tried to avoid the road control but the officers acted quickly and managed to stop them.

Information released by the Press Office of the Ministry of Public Security this Monday morning indicated that in total there were 206 packets distributed in the two vehicles, a KIA (carrying 64 packages) and a Hyundai Tucson (carrying 142 packages).

The drivers were a Dominican with Costa Rican residence and a Costa Rican, both 38 years-old.
