This weekend the Costa Rican Philharmonic Orchestra will pay tribute to some of the best guitar players of all times.

With their unique and characteristic style that has earned them a huge fan base and has ensured that all their shows sell out, the proposal of Director Marvin Araya this time around is to highlight the work of famous guitar players such as Jimi Hendrix, Gilmour, Clapton, J. Page, Clapton, Santana, B.B. King, Satriani, Slash, among many others.

“Guitar Monsters” will have two presentations at the Melico Salazar Theater, the first one on Saturday, September 22 at 8 p.m. and the second one on Sunday, September 23 at 6 p.m.

Songs by Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Guns N’ Roses, Extreme, to name a few, will be interpreted by talented guitarists like Chris Scott, Victor Soto, Carlos Dominguez, Marco Chinchilla, Daniela Garcia, Allan Murillo, Ari Lotringer, Federico Miranda, Jose Chanti, Lucho Aguilar, Carlos Delgado and Aaron Retana, accompanied by the musicians of the Philharmonic Orchestra and renown Costa Rican singers.

“Many of the most important songs by some of these artists have not been part of the shows before because the singer is not highlighted in them, so we wanted to give more prominence to the great songs in which the main figure is the guitarist”, explained Marvin Araya.
