Do you or your child need a cédula, or to register other vital statistics?

People living in the area of Paquera, Cóbano and Mal Pais/Montezuma can access these services this month and next on a field visit by Costa Rica Civil Registry / Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE – Registro Civil) officials, without having to make a trip to San José.

Door-to-door visits to Mal Pais will take place May 29 until June 9. A schedule of specific locations can be found in the tables above.

Officials will conduct door-to-door visits to villages in the central Pacific counties of Puntarenas and Nandayure, to offer different free civil and electoral registration services, said the institution.

“More than 9,721 people residing in these cantons can benefit from filing paperwork to request their ID card, register vital and civil data, request birth and other certificates, request paternity notifications, and other transactions,” said Alcides Chavarría, from the TSE field services section.

In addition, the outreach services will be offered from Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the schools listed in the table above.

In addition, civil registration and electoral registration services will be available in several educational centers in both of these counties. There, youth aged 12 to 17 years old can request a child identity card (TIM, in Spanish).

This is the fifth field visit that the TSE has made this year, reaching over 18,000 people.

During 2016, the TSE outreach efforts enable more than 31,000 citizens to access services through door-to-door visits throughout the country, said the agency.
