EFE/Costa Rica will host from the next international congress that will promote the sustainable tourism intelligence and recreational, social and cultural entertainment tourism.
“The sustainable tourism intelligence converts data into knowledge and information with which destinations can adapt their offer to the new demands and needs of visitors, while recreation and entertainment tourism seeks to take advantage of the authenticity of the native nature and the local culture which involves the participation of the communities,” stated Sylvia Suarez, organizer of the I International Congress of Tourism Professionals, who added that the event will provide the bases so that those models can successfully applied in the hotel industry, gastronomy industry, travel agencies, etc.
The Association of Tourism Professionals of Costa Rica (ACOPROT) indicated that the goal of this congress is to offer the innovation tools needed to improve and grow as professionals and business owners in the tourism sector, all the while informing of the latest trends to promote tourism identity, social inclusion and sustainable practices.
Among the topics that will be addressed are:
Employability of the sector, Digital Marketing, Sustainable Tourism Intelligence, Recreational, Social and Cultural Entertainment tourism.
Tourism is one of the main sources of Costa Rica’s economy, the country’s nature and biodiversity is its main attraction. The country received during 2015 a total of 2,665,608 tourist and they generated over 2,882 million dollars.
The congress will take place October 19-21 at the Aurola Holiday Inn Hotel and it will have national and international speakers that will offer lectures in a very dynamic, scientific and avant-garde event. / EFE
