In an unexpected move, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation has reopened the Hillary Clinton email scandal investigation due to newly discovered emails involving the email accounts of now disgraced, former New York U.S. Congressman Anthony Weiner and his estranged wife Huma Abedin, a close aide to Clinton.

Abedin has been at Clinton’s side since before Clinton served as secretary of state during President Obama’s first term.

Apparently tens of thousands of Abedin’s emails were on Weiner’s laptop computer which was seized months ago by the FBI while investigating Weiner for allegedly sexting an underage girl and sending lewd pictures of himself over the internet, according to televised news reports.

After FBI Director James Comey sent a letter yesterday morning to members of the U.S. Congress informing them of the reopening of the Clinton email scandal, the mainstream media, often accused of bias toward Clinton could not help but report on this jaw-dropping revelation. This news is leading every-major-news broadcast from coast to coast and around the world, including NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and others. Chances are this news story will not fade from the murky political waterfall of Campaign 2016.

“In connection with an unrelated case the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent, and I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation,” Comey stated in his letter to Congress.

Comey went on to say that he “cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant.” He did not say how long the investigation would take, according to Real Clear Politics.

This atomic-level, explosive news broke late yesterday morning as the Democratic presidential contender was in route to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a political rally. Clinton did not comment on the breaking news from the FBI during this event. Not a word. Clinton-aide Abedin was reported to be with Clinton on the flight to Iowa.

Then later Friday, Clinton appeared at a second rally in Des Moines, Iowa. After the rally she briefly commented to reporters that she had no more knowledge of these new emails than anyone else and she declined further comment other than requesting that the FBI to fully release whatever information they have regarding the reopening of the ongoing Clinton email scandal a mere 10 days prior to the Nov. 8 national general election.

Clinton did say, however, that she had read Comey’s letter to the U.S. Congress concerning the new emails coming under additional scrutiny.

“We don’t know what to believe, I’m sure there will be more rumors,” Clinton said. “The American people deserve to get the full and complete facts regarding this issue … We are calling on the FBI to release whatever information they have … without any delay.”

Comey in July announced that no charges against Clinton involving her emails would be forth coming, however, what direction this new FBI investigation will take is unknown because the content of the Abedin emails remains unknown and under protection of the ongoing investigation.

Needless to say Republican candidate Donald Trump jumped on this FBI statement like flies on a road kill.

“This is the biggest political scandal since Watergate, in my opinion,” said Trump Friday afternoon. “Especially when she bleached 33,000 emails after receiving a congressional subpoena.”

Revelations of Clinton’s private email system while in public office became common knowledge in March of 2015 and has shown her love of secrecy in all of her dealings. All of her email problems are self-inflicted. As more Clinton-related emails are released, the more her trust level with American voters plummets.

“This is devastating for the Clinton campaign,” said Bill O’Reilly with the O’Reilly Factor on Fox News Friday night. “Trump can now run with this for 10 days … the far left is going crazy, nuts … right now the Trump campaign has the advantage.”

The new FBI email investigation comes on the heels of more bad news about drastically rising costs of President Obama’s Affordable Health Care Act that Clinton says she will continue if she is elected president.

Also the recent release of Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta’s shady emails by WikiLeaks all add up to a lot of trouble for Clinton just in the closing days of this presidential election.

The late Joseph Pulitzer, a former Democratic New York congressman and creator of the famed Pulitzer Prize for journalism, said this about those who live a lie:

“There is not a crime, there is not a dodge, there is not a trick, there is not a swindle, there is not a vice which does not live by secrecy.”
