Left-wing propaganda, outright lies, misinformation, distortions, misrepresentations, falsehoods – all describe the current mainstream media coverage of the ongoing Mexican border controversy.

There has been a recent surge of illegal immigrants attempting to come into United States of America illegally – in between legal border crossings — using their children as a shield from prosecution — which worked previously, but no longer.

“Ripped from their parent’s arms,” “placed in detention/concentration camps,” “children are in cages,” are just a few of the left-wing toxic chants coming from mainstream media, liberal commentators and all the Democrats — nothing could be further from the truth.

For a more complete understanding of what is actually going on, this situation at the Mexican border is a pre-planned staged event to play off the emotional sympathy card for Democratic mid-term election candidates to make the Trump administration and Republicans appear unsympathetic, mean and uncaring. This state of affairs is purely political – an attempt to take advantage of a staged situation to make the opposing party look bad.

In the past year caravans of migrants from Central America – mostly from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador — have been allowed to pass all the way through Mexico in order to invade the border attempting to cross into the USA anyway they can. When they are caught, the adults are jailed. It is against the law to also jail the children with the parents, so the estimated 2,000 children now involved are placed in fully staffed holding centers complete with lodging, meals, clothing, medical care, education, English classes, recreation, counseling and other services – a far cry from “cages” and “concentration camps.” There are 27 such holding centers now operating in California, Arizona and Texas. Some of the holding centers are located in converted former Wal-Mart buildings.

In contrast, “families that arrive together at legal ports of entry and apply for asylum status are generally not split up and are permitted to stay in the USA pending the adjudication of their applications, which can take several years,” stated Breitbart News. This news report also stated that 90-percent of the children now in holding centers – mostly teenagers – came across the border illegally without any parents and that only 10-percent were actually separated from their parents. Then again other news reports show far different numbers.

News reports also say this situation at the southern border has been going on long before President Donald Trump took office, but the Trump administration has taken a new “zero tolerance” attitude adopted in April and they are enforcing current laws – something President Obama failed to do. When President Trump says the Democrats created this mess, he’s right.

Another reason this illegal migrant situation has been headline news lately is because the U.S. Congress this week is slated to take up the overall issue of immigration to the USA and possibly pass new legislation that may bring sweeping change to the United States’ immigration system. Finding a way to citizenship for the DACA children, brought to the USA by their parents years ago who are now adults, is again on the table and so is eliminating chain immigration and the immigration lottery system that allows for random selection of immigrants to enter the USA without regard to their status. The Democrats will fight it all, obstruct at every turn and do everything they can to block the Republicans and President Trump. Don’t expect anything new or compromising from the liberals and their sanctuary thinking as they sit on their hands and do nothing for the good of the country.

Open borders simply do not work – not in this day and age of radical Islam promoting terror in the free world and migrants seeking to take advantage of another country’s ‘good will.’ They don’t work in Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Austria, Belgium or anywhere else in Europe. Israel does not have open borders, nor does Mexico – but in order to make the Trump administration look bad over pulling out of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and imposing new trade tariffs on Mexico – they have allowed this border conflict to occur in the first place continuing to this day.

The Democrats think this issue will carry them to victory in the Nov. 6 mid-term election, but this sad situation they brought upon themselves will surely backfire miserably.
