The new iPhone 8 will go on sale in Costa Rica at select Gollo stores Monday, September 25.

Five Gollo stores – their large ones – will offer the new iPhones which come with 5.45 inch screens and 64 GB of memory. The plus size – with a larger 6.25 inch screen – will not be available for sale in Costa Rica until a later date, said the company.

Purchases can also be made through Gollo’s online store starting Monday.

The Cupertino, California firm also announced the launch of the new iPhone X, which will go on sale the last week of November in the United States (coinciding with Black Friday).

Gollo said the iPhone 8 will be priced at ¢649,900 colones and will be available in the following colors: space gray, silver and gold.

Gollo stores in Zapote, Paseo de las Flores (Heredia), Guadalupe, City Mall (Alajuela) and Belén will have the iPhone 8 available for sale.

“After negotiations, we managed to get this model to Costa Rica at the same time as the global launch,” explained Eduardo Córdoba, Gollo’s marketing manager.

The new model has new features that, among other improvements, include wireless charging, and excellent resistance to elements such as water and dust.

A limited number will be on sale at the launch, but more are on their way. Credit plans are available, said Gollo.
