Costa Rican domestic airline Nature Air, is going through some internal changes that have caused problems this week in their regular operations. According to Aeroinfo Costa Rica, the company has recently fired its General Manager and four of its small plans were not allowed to fly this week because of problems with its rental contracts.
According to Aeris’ operation manager, company in charge of the Juan Santamaría Airport, the General Direction of Civil Aviation, sent the order to suspend the permits of four Nature Air planes. For an airline to operate it has to have all its planes duly registered in the Public Registry and a rental contract for each, however, these four planes where dis-enrolled and didn’t have a standing rental contract; under these circumstances the planes could not fly.
Nature Air has not officially referred to this situation, however, an employee commented that the company’s heads were “surprised” by the notification on Thursday morning and they took necessary measures to avoid inconveniences to their passengers, were working on the situation and hoped to have all flights back to normal by this weekend.
Nature Air offers flies to Tamarindo and Nosara in Guanacaste; Manuel Antonio in Quepos; Drake Bay; Puerto Jiménez, Golfito and Tambor in Puntarenas; Bocas del Toro in Panama; Tortuguero, Limón; among others.
The company recently launched a promotion for packages of 6 one-way flights.
