Franchises from different countries, business models that start at USD $15,000.00, is what you can expect to find at the Franchise Expo (Expo Franquicia) 2017 that will take place at the Real Intercontinental Hotel, July 26 and July 27.

This is the eight edition of this event, the only regional fair of its kind. The fair brings together franchises from Mexico, United States, Spain, Central America, South America and Costa Rica, confirmed the National Franchise Center (Cenaf), part of the Costa Rica Chamber of Commerce.

The event is open to the public and the entrance is free of charge; however, those investors interested in a particular franchise should request an appointment by sending an email to [email protected] or [email protected]

The main objective of the Expo Franquicia is to promote the generation of business for local and international franchises and generate connections with potential investors.

“Expo Franquicia is a meeting space for the best franchises and entrepreneurs that want to invest in a business and are looking to have the advantage of the experience and knowledge of the franchise owner. Young entrepreneurs that want to be their own boss or experienced business people can find in a franchise the possibility of economic independence and professional growth”, commented Karol Fallas, Director of Cenaf.

The fair will also offer 15 conferences with professionals from Mexico, USA and Costa Rica, who will share their experience, some of the topics are, How to create a Franchise in Costa Rica; How to Sell Franchises?, Branding for Franchises, among others.

Worldwide there are more than 15,000 franchises, which generate direct employment to over 12 million people.
The biggest market for Costa Rican franchises is in the Central American region, with Panama being the country with more establishments (8), and followed by Mexico with 6. Some Costa Rican franchises include: Sencha Tetería (Gourmet Tea Shop), La Oliva Verde (Restaurant), Nutrisalud, among others.
