Costa Rica seeks to position itself as a destination for audiovisual productions

The Costa Rica Filming Commission participated in the AFCI Locations & Global Production show  in Los Angeles, California with the objective of promoting the country as an ideal destination for audiovisual productions.

This event brought together close to 80 AFCI Film Commission Members and service industry partners, of more than 30 countries, it connects media content producers and global production locations.

The beautiful Costa Rican beaches, lush forests,  adventure destinations, volcanos, rivers, waterfalls among many other attractions  are part of what the country can offer to those looking for filming locations for their movies, documentaries, commercials, videos, etc.

Costa Rica hopes to position itself as a regional production hub,  supporting different networking strategies for local producers and facilitating the different procedures to carry out productions in the country.

AFCI Locations & Global Production, is one of the most important location fairs in the world, this is why it is such a great opportunity for the country to have presence in this event, so it can showcase all the strengths we can offer for audiovisual production. From the Filming Commission we are looking to offer productive linkages in such a way that international production companies can hire Costa Rican companies for preproduction, filming and postproduction services, complete with editing, animation, music, dubbing, etc.”, confirmed José Castro,  Costa Rican Filming Commissioner .

Costa Rica was able to showcase the different locations in the country through a catalog and was able to participate in different conferences by renowned international experts of the audiovisual industry.
