The VI edition of ExpoPYME (small and medium size companies’ expo) has become the biggest fair of its kind in Central America, and this time it will be held within Costa Rica’s “Pro-Tempore” Presidency of the Central American Integration System (SICA), which the country will hold for a period of six months.

Companies from Central America that are part of SICA will be participating in the Expo; Belice, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Dominican Republic), with the objective of offering the Small and Medium Size Companies (PYMES) business opportunities, a chance to sell their products and the opportunity to network.

Financial support services and company development services will also be available to promote the formalization of businesses and the growth of the Costa Rican enterprises.

This ExpoPYME is the biggest expression of evolution of a platform in real time to boost the productive linkages and the companies’ growth. We have tripled the size of the Expo, and it has taken a regional reach to maximize the opportunities of access to different markets in the SICA region. We have to view the region as the first market, and a great opportunity to intensify the intra-regional market”, stated Geannina Duarte, Minister of Economy.

As in last editions the alliance with the Foreign Commerce Promotion Agency (PROCOMER) remains, and this year the Regional Center of Promotion for MYPYME and the National Technology Center (CENAT) with the ELAN (European and Latin American Technology based Business Network) program join the organization of the event with the idea of generating opportunities based in technology between small and medium size companies in Latin America and Europe.

The ExpoPYME Costa Rica 2017 will take place April 7th – April 9th at the National Stadium with the participation of over 300 stands and experts that will be offering conferences.
