Costa Rican actor Daniel Zovatto is “Money” in the Suspense/Horror Film “Don’t Breathe”; Money is a young delinquent who breaks into a house with two other friends and find themselves trapped. “Don’t Breathe” premiered in the U.S.A August 26 and has brought in roughly about $54 million so far; not bad for a movie that had an estimated budget of under $10 million; the movie is directed by Uruguayan Fede Alvarez and was shot in Budapest, Hungary.

25 year old Zovatto has made short appearances in different T.V. Series, he had his debut in television in the show Agents of Shield in 2014 , later he appeared in three episodes of Revenge and more recently he has had a recurring role in the drama series Fear the Walking Dead. His experience in the big screen includes the short film The Return, and secondary roles in independent film Beneath, horror drama film Innocence and romantic comedy Laggies.

Daniel Zovatto was born in San Jose and is the son of Costa Rican T.V. host Sylvia Blanco. Zovatto is also taking part of a new television show called Brooklyn Animal Control which doesn’t have a premier date as of yet.  With his talent and as he continues to gain experience we hope to someday see Zovatto and other Costa Rican actors in a blockbuster film.

For such a small country Costa Rica is certainly not small in talent and as the new generations keep venturing into new fields they open doors and inspire others to follow their dreams.
