New York, United States, Sep 3 (EFE).- Rafael Nadal, who has already moved to the fourth round of the U.S. Open, said Saturday he feels less pain in his wrist, due to which he was forced to pull out of the Roland Garros this year.

Nadal, addressing the press after his straight sets victory (6-1, 6-4 and 6-2) over the Russian Andrey Kuznetsov, said he still feels a bit of pain but it does not limit his game.

The Spaniard expressed satisfaction over his game and his level of confidence, and said he had long waited to compete once again.

From the entire match, he recalled his widely applauded shot to reach the match point in the game, saying he had once played the same shot before against Novak Djokovic in Madrid.

Speaking about his next opponent, the French Lucas Pouille, Nadal remarked he was a very young and complete player, and that he would have to prepare well and play his best. (Nadal vs. Pouille will take place Sunday, Sept 4)

The Spaniard further praised Pouille saying he is a tough rival who had just beaten Roberto Bautista, for which one needs to play high quality tennis. EFE
