This Saturday, November 11 at 8 p.m. at the downtown San José, Costa Rica National Theater, U.S. and Costa Rican musicians join together for a delightful and inspiring concert dedicated to friendship between the two countries.
Award-winning U.S.-based Medical Musical Group‘s chorale and symphony will perform together with Costa Rica’s Coro Voces de Libertad, directed by Carol Guzmán, and the University of Costa Rica Chorale under the direction of Didier Mora Monge.
“MMG’s mission is to perform music with a message of healing, hope, inspiration, patriotism, peace, and brotherhood,” according to their Facebook page
The Medical Music Group is the world’s premier medical chorale and symphony orchestra. Its members are doctors, nurses and clinicians from the Veterans Administration and other U.S. medical centers and schools who are also talented musicians and vocalists.
The group performs friendship concerts throughout the U.S. and the world.
This Saturday’s concert takes place in commemoration of the U.S. Veterans Day holiday.
General admission to this spectacular choral-symphonic concert is 7,000 colones, and can be purchased at the National Theater box office or website. Half-price tickets for students and seniors must be purchased in person.
